About our Principal Risk Engineer

Prior to joining the insurance industry through FM Global as a Consultant Engineer, Sumedha worked as a Field Engineer for Schlumberger Limited in their Reservoir Engineering/ Wireline Division, where he managed clients including Husky Energy, Canadian Natural Resources Limited and Conoco Philips in Australia, Canada, Colombia, the UAE and the USA. During his tenure with Schlumberger, Sumedha was also appointed as Radiation Safety Officer for onshore Canadian and Australian Operations.

Upon completing Field Engineering Basic, Intermediated and Advanced at FM Global, Sumedha managed various clients including Woolworths Limited and the University of NSW, before joining IAG as a Senior Risk Engineer in their Corporate and Specialty division. Through his exposure to placing risk from the client and underwriter viewpoints, Sumedha took up various roles for IAG including Head of Strategic Partnering, which serviced both corporate and mid-market clients in Business Resilience, Asset Protection, People Safety and Motor Risk.

As a Risk Engineering Professional trusted throughout Australian and Global Underwriting Markets, Sumedha is now a Director and Principal Risk Engineer for PlacedRisk Solutions.
